Your portal can store documents of any type for personal use and group sharing. Documents stored in the Personal section are private and cannot be viewed by other members of the portal. The group section stores documents that are shared between the members of that group. Both sections can organize documents in folders and nested folders. Members of the group can set change notifications on documents and folders.
Group owners or administrators can view the audit log of document activity. They can also enable versioning on documents and when needed, the earlier versions can be viewed. Besides creating group permissions, administrators can create permissions on individual documents and file folders.
Web folders allows all users to access their personal and group documents from their local computer. Users can upload or download files by dragging and dropping files into the web folders. Additionally, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files are opened, locked, edited and saved directly to the remote file server. PDF files can be viewed only with Adobe Reader.
