Level 1 Administrators have additional tools to set up their portal environment: Site Properties, Email Settings and Reporting. These are available through Manage Portal which is accessible from the username drop-down on the top right corner of the portal.

SITE PROPERTIES

Administrators can:

  • Upload a desktop image to display on the personal desktop (Modern portal interface only)
  • Create a message of the day (Modern portal interface only)
  • Disable/Modify the default company workspace. The company workspace is the first workspace created when the portal account was created. When new users are created, by default, they are assigned to this workspace. This is where to disable or change the default workspace.

EMAIL SETTINGS

Email Settings allows administrators to create mail signatures that are appended to each user in the portal by default. The default signature will be appended to all new users email until they have set up their own email signature. The global signature is appended to each each email any user creates. In both cases, the user can modify or remove the email text.

Email Settings also provides a way to create valid email addresses without defining new users. For example, the adminstrator can define This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and have all incoming mail to that address routed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The alias can have more than one email address on the list and it is not limited to users in the portal. For example, you may have a vendor who needs to receive mail at their own address but you want it to appear as if they are a member of the company. Think of aliases as distribution lists.

REPORTING

Reporting provides two reports: Usage Statistic and Storage Reporting. The Usage Statistic report provides information on login activity, denied attempts, invalid password attempts, IP Addresses where attempts occurred, or when the account was created. The Storage report displays all email and document storage for all users. This includes personal and workspace sections.

NOTE: These settings are available only to Level 1 Administrators. Manage Portal will not appear under the username drop-down for any account level.
