The contacts section organizes information about the people and businesses you want to communicate with. Within the portal there are two types of contacts: personal contacts and workspace contacts. Personal contacts are private and are not shared with other members of the portal. Workspace contacts are shared with other members of the workspace. Each workspace member is displayed as a contact under each workspace. You can distinguish the workspace member contacts from other contacts by the highlighted ribbon - workspace members will be highlighted (in yellow).

You can use contacts to store email addresses, work and home addresses, phone numbers, pictures, and any other information that relates to a contact. There are approximately 30 standard fields of information that can be stored with each contact. If needed, additional fields can be added.

Contacts can also be organized through the use of categories. This enables the user to quickly find contacts. There is no limit to the number of categories that can be associated with each contact.

Items such as documents, tasks, or calendar events can be interlinked to the contact. This allows you to create a single view point to other items within the portal. 

Note: Microsoft Outlook users can synchronize contacts between Outlook and the portal using Outlook synchronization. Personal contacts will be synced with the Personal Folder contacts and workspace contacts will appear as sub-folders under the Personal Folder Contacts.
