Shervin Pishevar, CEO, President, Co-Founder

Shervin Pishevar has dedicated himself to giving life to ideas that can better the quality of lives of all people. He comes from a scientific and education background and is now using his experience to open up access to technology for all people, regardless of demographic background.

He is a former member and Vice President Pro Tempore of the Montgomery County Board of Education (Maryland) where he helped direct and manage one of the largest and highest quality school systems in the nation with over 120,000 students, 15,000 teachers and an annual budget over $1 billion. He held memberships in such national and regional educational organizations as the National School Boards Association (NSBA), National Federation of Urban-Suburban School Districts (NFUSSD), American Association of School Administrators (AASSA) and the Maryland Association of Boards of Education (MABE). Shervin worked previously as a Research Associate at Kaiser Permanente, Presidential Fellow at the University of California at Berkeley, IRTA Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, Summer Research Fellow at M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center and at the Physicians for Human Rights. Shervin has published peer-reviewed research articles in such journals as the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Neuroscience Letters and Berkeley Scientific, which he founded.

He is the sole inventor of a new therapy for malaria that is being patented by the University of California. He has been featured in articles in the New York Times and the Washington Post. Shervin is the son of immigrant parents, Abraham and Eshrat Pishevar, who worked several jobs, including taxi driver and Ramada Inn maid, to give their three children a better life and a chance to realize their dreams.



Drew Morris, CTO and Co-Founder

Drew Morris has an established entrepreneurial background. In 1995 he co-founded a high-quality photographic services company in Atlanta GA. The company achieved profitability within 6 months of its inception and was eventually sold to a competitor for a profit.

As a consultant for the Quality and Practices Division of Informix Software he gained experience with a variety of emerging technologies including GroupWare applications, Intra/Internet development, RDBMS, & Enterprise Server Development. He served as a project manager spearheading the development of a World Wide Web based intranet, its integration into the corporate backbone and aided in the effort to publicize its development nationwide. His consulting practice has spanned a variety of industries including Industrial Development, Architecture, Software Development, Education, and the Apparel industry.



Deepak Puri, Executive VP of Strategic Development

Prior to joining myWebOS.com, Puri was employee number 68 at Netscape where he played a crucial role in the early development of the company by holding key management positions in product management, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) sales and strategic development. He also filed for two patents on behalf of Netscape.

Before Netscape, Puri spent five years at Oracle where he managed the release of UNIX products on different platforms and later was the alliance manager for the Oracle-IBM relationship, which involved training IBM's worldwide sales force.

Puri holds a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from the University of Delphi in India. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Puri is also active in a number of not-for-profit organizations including OpNetWork.org, which helps bridge the digital divide by helping the disadvantaged get training and jobs in the high tech industry, and Ashoka.org, which supports leading social entrepreneurs with seed capital in 40 countries.

In his new position, Puri will help myWebOS.com establish strategic business alliances and broaden distribution of myWebOS, the company's primary product and the world's first Web-based operating system.



Derek Newell, VP of Business Development

Derek Newell has dedicated himself to providing people with the tools they need to improve their lives. This dedication has taken him around the world and has engaged him in activities ranging from developing and implementing HIV/AIDS peer education programs for at-risk youth in Southern Africa to developing Internet-based disease management programs for people with chronic illnesses.

Derek has a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Public Health, both from the University of California, Berkeley. He was nominated to Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honors society for collegiate schools of business, for outstanding academic achievement. He also served as the head graduate student instructor for several courses in advanced health care finance.

While living and working in Southern Africa, Derek worked on projects funded by the US Peace Corps, USAID, the European Union, UNICEF and the World Health Organization. He also served as the co-chair of the Lesotho National AIDS Committee, which was responsible for overseeing the activities of all governmental and non-governmental agencies involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Lesotho.

Since returning to the US, Derek has been firmly engaged in using the Internet as a tool to help people improve their businesses and their lives. Derek managed the deployment and implementation of an Internet technology developed to streamline the administrative processes of a large California medical group. Most recently, he worked with a team to develop an Internet-based disease management tool for people with chronic illnesses. This included negotiating agreements for distribution of the tool with major consumer portals representing over 8 million unique visitors and 120 million page views per month.
