The Tasks (Projects) Section lets you manage individual tasks or groups of successive tasks into a project. Whether it be personal items such as a to-do list, organized steps for planning a vacation, or a set of structured tasks to finish before filing your taxes, or workspace projects, the Tasks/Projects Section lets you manage what you need to do and helps you stay on top of it.
With Tasks & Projects, you can:
- Create projects and tasks
- Create recurring tasks
- Set deadlines
- Set priorities
- Write descriptions, comments, and notes
- Assign tasks
Like with most of the other sections, Tasks can save different views to display what you want to see.
Click the green "New Task" button on the top left to create a new task, or the blue "New Project" button to create a new project.
On the task itself, you can enter or edit:
- Subject
- Description
- Start Date
- Due Date
- Finish Date (this is the date when the task is actually completed - the finish date will automatically update when you complete a task by clicking the check arrow to the left of the task name)
- Status
- Priority
- Percent Completed
- Milestone
- Custom Fields
Recurrences are also available on tasks. Set a recurrence for tasks that occur, are completed, and reoccur at a set interval. For example, you can set recurring tasks for account management, product development, etc.
