Letter from CEO & President Welcome to myWebOS! myWebos.com. wants to change the way you think about the Internet. Our mission is to make the impossible possible. Never again will you have to put-up with boring, slow web applications. We are creating a world where web applications come alive. The next few years, the next few months, there will be a flood of web-based applications for you to choose from. There is a fervent energy being spent by thousands of highly talented application developers all around the world. The problem with these applications are that they are the progeny of two species that were never meant to breed: link-based content sites like Yahoo and powerful client-based WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) software like Microsoft Word. These link-based or form-based applications are a sorry excuse for applications. Web Applications should not be built using the standards and technologies that content-based sites like Yahoo use. We should not have to ask users to change long-established rules and behaviors they are familiar with and comfortable with. Web Applications should work just like desktop applications. Web Applications need to combine the best aspects of the internet, mobility, and the best aspect of client-side software, power and speed. myWebOS.com has created a powerful platform to allow for this hybridization. Using our myWebOS API, web developers around the world will now be able to quickly transform their link-based applications into powerful windows-like web applications that users can access through myWebOS. The hardest parts have been take care of so that developers can simply and effortlessly transform their web applications into elegant, fast, powerful WYSIWYG Web applications. myWebOS.com will be expending considerable resources to help train developers around the world how to use the latest Internet technologies and the WebOS API via on-line forums, tutorials, classes, workshops and conferences. We want to begin a developers movement to build amazing and awe-inspiring web applications that will change the world. There has never been a platform or API available for web developers until now. We aim to demolish the towering Babel of web applications that cannot talk to each other and help create a Switzerland of Web applications that can share data and synchronize with each other.
