Administration

The administration section is where you can control the look, feel, layout and design of your desktop. You can:

Usage Guidelines

  1. From your desktop in the lower right corner, click the Edit/Modify Desktop button.

  2. The Desktop Preferences page appears.

  3. You can edit the order the fields appear by changing their order and position in the Column 1, Column 2, and Column 3 areas by clicking the Down and Up, and the >> and << buttons. Here you can also opt to hide a particular field by clicking the Hide/Show button.

General Desktop Preferences

In this section you can specify the time Intervals when the desktop refreshes to check for new information, updates, mail etc. The three options available in the Refresh Interval drop-down list are 6, 8, and 10 minutes. The Allow desktop content boxes to wrap checkbox allows the content on the home page to wrap to the next line.

Messaging Window Preferences

In this section you can choose up to four email folders that will appear on the personal desktop. There are four drop-down menus under this section which contain the following folders:

  • Inbox

  • Sent Messages

  • Drafts

  • Trash

  • Spam

  • Quarantined

Task Window Preferences

In this section you can select the number of tasks to display in the My Tasks section on your desktop by selecting a number between 1 and 30 in the items to display drop-down. You can also select the folder where you want to display these tasks by selecting one of the available folders in the folders drop-down box.

Notes Windows Preferences

In this section you can select the number of notes to display in the My Notes section on your desktop by selecting a number between 1 and 30 in the items to display drop-down. You can also select the folder where you want to display these notes by selecting one of the available folders in the folders drop-down box.

Links Windows Preferences

In this section you can select the number of links to display in the My Links section on your desktop by selecting a number between 1 and 30 in the items to display drop-down. You can also select the folder where you want to display these links by selecting one of the available folders in the folders drop-down box.

Schedule Window Preferences

This feature allows you to set time constraints on the number of days from the current day that the schedule should be shown on the personal desktop.

Reminder Window Preferences

This feature allows you to set time constraints on the number of days from the current day, that reminders should be shown in the personal desktop.

New Feed Preferences

This feature allows you to select the category under which you want to check the news for.
