Attachments for Personal Email

You can send files of any size with your email message as an attachment. Although HyperOffice does not impose any limitations on the size of your email or your attachments, you will be subject to the limitations of your computer and Internet connection as well as the limitations of the receiving party.

Usage Guidelines

To send an attachment, follow these steps:

  1. From the Compose Message window, click the Attachment button . The Attach Files to Message window appears.

  2. Select your desired task using this table as a guide:

    To attach a document from your computer to your email message, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Browse button. The Choose File dialog box appears.

    2. Navigate to the file you want to attach and click the Open button. You return to the Attach Files to Message window.

    3. Click the Upload File button.

    4. If you would like to attach multiple files, repeat steps 1-3.

    5. To accept the selected attachment, click the Accept Attachments button. The files you attached are now shown in the Attachments field of the Compose window

    If you want to attach a file from your personal or the shared document section of a group in HyperOffice to your email message, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Attach File from Documents button. The Select File dialog box appears.

    2. Browse to your file in your personal section or click the groups link at the top right of the window to access a file in your group section. If you are looking for a file in your group, a list of folders appear when you click the groups link. Select a folder to locate your desired file attachment.

    3. When you locate the file you want to upload, click the Attach File button.

    4. The file name appears on the Attach Files to Message window.

    5. If you would like to attach multiple files, repeat steps 6-9.

    6. To accept the selected attachment(s), click the Accept Attachments button. The file(s) you attached are now shown in the Attachments field of the compose window.

    To attach a document you must first locate the file using the Browse button, then you click the Upload File button. To upload a selected file, follow these steps:

    1. Once you locate the file using the Browse button, click the Upload File button to upload your file from your local computer to your email message.

    2. The message, "Uploading Please Wait" appears when you click the Upload File button.

    3. To accept the selected attachment, click the Accept Attachments button. The files you attached are now shown in the Attachments field of the Compose window

    You can remove any attachments you have selected by selecting the attachment in the Attach Files to Message window, and clicking the Unattach Selected Files(s) button. Your attachment(s) are automatically removed from your message.

    You must click the Accept Attachments button to complete the selected attachment. When clicked, the Compose Message window appears with the files you attached shown in Attachments field of the Compose window.
