The font settings will help you set the default look and feel for all the messages, which you send. By default the font for the message is based on the setting you determine in this section.
In the 'Mail Preferences' page, the font information can be changed in the font block, which contains the following fields Default Font, Default Font size and Default Font Color. The options you have to change, and the format of the message are:
'Default Font': Select the default font you want to use in your messages from the list of fonts in the drop down list. The list contains all the commonly used fonts like Arial, Courier, Tahoma, Verdana, etc. Select the font according to your preference. By default, the font selected is Arial.
'Default Font size': Select the size of the font for a default mail composition. To select the size, select one of the sizes in the drop down list. The options that are available to you range from 1 to 7. The font size options also contain the point information. By Default the size selected in the list is 1.
'Default Font Color': The default font color determines the color with which the font is displayed. By default the font color is not selected. When a font color is not selected, the default color black is used. To select an alternative color, click on the 'T' icon next to the text box. On clicking the icon, a window pops up with different colors, which you can choose from. Click on a color to select the color. The text box displays the color in hexadecimal format.
