Customer Spotlight

Black Ant Sports Marketing- Jetrus Collins.

Overview

Black Ant Sports Marketing is a Chicago-based marketing firm that started up in early 2007. The company provides sports marketing services for various sports affiliated companies and leagues, including the NFL and NBA. Although they are a growing small business, the firm requires efficient collaboration within the workspace.

Challenge

Prior to HyperOffice, Black Ant Sports Marketing solely relied on email as their means of communication. They soon realized their hectic email system was not working for them. The time spent waiting for approvals and making sure the team members were working off the most updated version was just a waste of time. The company decided it was time to look into collaboration solutions.

Solution

As a growing business, Black Ant did not have a large budget, or much time to spend for set-up, so they had to keep their options realistic. Black Ant chose HyperOffice because it is not only affordable, but is ready to use within minutes. Now, Black Ant Sports Marketing can simply use shared documents instead of emails. A lot of time was saved because of HyperOffice; time that can be used towards their core business.

How Tom King is Building His Company Around HyperOffice

On May 1st, startup Exlabs officially entered “dark mode” to develop “the next big thing” for both individuals and enterprises alike. In order to communicate and collaborate amongst their team members, they researched and selected HyperOffice over the combined benefits of Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Sharepoint Server. Each month, Exlabs founder Tom King shares how HyperOffice is Exlab’s path to greatness from “Day One” without requiring IT administrator knowledge.

Here is what Tom King has to say for this month:

If you are a Windows Vista user like me, you’ve been waiting for the new version of HyperShare to bring your HyperOffice and Microsoft Office (2007) worlds together.  I am also looking forward to some of the new enhancements offered by this new version of HyperShare.

HyperOffice Tips

Your Time Zone Setting

The time zone setting in your HyperOffice portal can effect the date and time your calendar events show up. This can be problematic if you are scheduling an event and your time zone is set incorrectly. You can change your time zone in your personal settings.
