With Proven Track Record, McShera to Build Out myWebOS.com's Channel


BALTIMORE, MD (March 3, 2000) - myWebOS.com (www.mywebos.com), the world's first Web-based operating system provider focused on delivering business applications, announced the appointment of Ryan McShera as its new Channel Director. As a former Director of ISP partnerships for LookSmart (Nasdaq: LOOK), McShera has a proven track record for building out channel relationships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs). In his new position, McShera will spearhead MyWebOS.com's strategic business development efforts and expand its channel program.

McShera joins myWebOS.com from LookSmart, a global leader Internet search infrastructure. LookSmart's search and directory service reaches over 45 million people a month - nearly 70 percent of all Internet users in the U.S. - through LookSmart's partner sites. At LookSmart, McShera was responsible for building out LookSmart's ISP Program, which during his 3 year tenure grew to a distribution channel of more than 370 ISP partners.

According to the C/NET review, MyWebOS was seen as "the most comprehensive free office suite" available online.

Currently, myWebOS.com offers Hyperoffice 2000, a comprehensive office productivity suite that includes Hyperword, the first free Web-based word processor, email, calendar, and contact management, as well as other business-oriented applications. This free business application suite represents a value-add offering for any ISP and/or Application Service Provider (ASP). A number of licensing agreements is available.
